Saverio Canepa is an independent advisor and executive with over two decades of experience in complex corporate finance. He operates through an Italy–US dual structure serving institutional investors, listed and mid-cap companies, family businesses and funds — combining financial analysis, governance, international legal coordination and long-term institutional relationships.
My work sits at the intersection of corporate finance, governance and strategic advisory. Over twenty years I have assisted foreign institutional investors entering the Italian market, supported listed SMEs in accessing alternative capital-raising instruments, managed due diligence and Virtual Data Rooms in complex regulatory contexts, and held positions as independent director and statutory auditor in large-cap and AIM listed companies.
My professional journey unfolds in four phases: chartered accountant spanning CTU appointments, wealth management and corporate advisory (pre-2010), corporate roles and classic M&A (2010–2018), independent deal making and venture capital (2018–2023), structured international advisory (2023–today). Today I operate through an Italy–USA bilateral structure — an Italian SAS and a Delaware LLC — focused on transactions that require the ability to navigate simultaneous complexities — legal, financial, institutional, international — and long-term relationships, measured in years, not months.
In recent years I have integrated generative artificial intelligence into my corporate finance practice, developing a dedicated AI Expert offering for boards, executives and M&A teams.
